An '''edge''' of a [[polygon]] or [[polyhedron]] is a [[line segment]] whose endpoints are two adjacent [[vertex|vertices]] of the figure.  In the case of polygons, an edge joins two consecutive vertices.  In the case of polyhedra, an edge joins two vertices and is the boundary between two adjacent [[face]]s. An edge can also be part of a [[Graph (graph theory)|graph]].
